Iván Ortolá returns to the podium in front of the Jerez crowd

MOTO3

In Moto3Iván Ortolá and Ryusei Yamanaka finished on a good note at the Andalusian track. The Valencian rider took third place on the podium, recovering from the difficult weekend he had in the United States. Yamanaka, for his part, was again on the verge of a podium and this is a symptom of the good line of work he has been doing.
Iván Ortolá:
"It wasn't the best feeling during the weekend, but we saved it. Also to get rid of the thorn from America, where I had the crash and I was very strong to fight for the victory there as well. I didn't think about the World Championship; after America, I focused on going race by race. If you give your best in every race, you'll be there in the end".
Ryusei Yamanaka:
"I'm happy to finish P4. A bit disappointed because I was fighting for the podium and in the end I lacked a bit of pace. It was too risky to try to catch the front group and I was six seconds ahead of the chasers. I gave it my all and we will keep working hard for the next one, looking for the best pace and trying to manage the tyres better".

MOTO2

Sergio García came close to the podium, together with MTHelmets-MSi, in a special Spanish GP, and in front of a very welcoming public, where the structure remains the leader of the teams in the Moto2 World Championship. Ai Ogura has made an admirable comeback, from 17th to sixth place, and with the expectation of continuing to excel throughout the season alongside his teammate.
Sergio García:
"I tried to hold on. When I went out I was feeling a bit better, but when the tyre grip dropped I was having a hard time turning and I was suffering a lot. I was on the verge of always falling off the front. So I decided to hold on, save a little bit and finish. Today it wasn't easy, the front was closing a lot, it didn't go as well as I would have liked. But well, we saved it, so I'm happy and let's keep going. We are still very close in the championship, we have to keep fighting".
Ai Ogura:
"This Sunday was not bad. But we can't be happy with the weekend as a whole. We finished sixth, but if we had qualified better, we could have finished higher. I feel there are still a lot of points to improve so we will work on that. The team did a great job this Sunday, to come from 17th to sixth is not bad at all. So I want to thank them".
