Iván Ortolá takes the "thorn" out of Qatar and gets on the podium in Portimao

MOTO3

In Moto3Iván Ortolá took his first podium of the season, after a hard fought race, and moved up to third in the Moto3 World Championship. Ryusei Yamanaka did not have a positive end to the Portuguese GP, crashing at the start of the race and unable to return to the race. He now has three weeks of rest before Austin to recharge his batteries and keep fighting.
Iván Ortolá:
"It was a difficult race because I quickly ran out of tyres and I gave my life to keep holding on. For me it tasted like a victory, because today we were on track for sixth or seventh".
Ryusei Yamanaka:
"I started the race from P17 and then another rider hit me with the handlebars and I went to the ground, but I couldn't get back in the race. Now it's time to recover and think about Austin, which I'm sure will go well".

MOTO2

MTHelmets-MSi is proudly leading the Moto2 Team World Championship after the Portuguese GP. Ai Ogura was fighting for the podium, but had to settle for fifth place due to tyre wear. Sergio Garcia didn't have a good start in the race, but he gradually made his way up to cross the chequered flag in sixth place.
Ai Ogura:
"It was a good race with a positive start, but in the middle of the race I lost several positions. I had the chance to fight for the podium, but I struggled a lot in the last laps".
Sergio García:
"It was a difficult race because at the beginning it was difficult to overtake and everyone was passing me. I couldn't stop the bike properly and I had a lot of problems riding with others. When I was alone, I was able to come back; I had a good pace. Even so, we needed to be more competitive. Now it's time to rest a bit and prepare for Austin, with more enthusiasm than ever".
