Oxford ramps up IBD support on the Emerald Isle

Having expanded the breadth and depth of its product range so dramatically in recent years Oxford is now ready for direct representation in the territory. In conjunction with its existing distribution partners, the company will be able to offer greater hands-on product and merchandising support to cycle retailers throughout the island of Ireland.

Oxford’s range of parts and accessories has long been distributed in Ireland by Motor & Sport in the North and Huet Distributors in the South. These relationships have been valuable for more than simple box shifting, providing unvarnished feedback from the market to help develop the company’s offering over the years. That offering has now reached an exciting turning point.

Since 2010, the company has placed huge investments in product development and brand building for its own-label cycle accessories, parts and apparel, including a multi-million-pound R&D centre opened in April 2022.

It has also added some key global brands to its portfolio, enabling the creation of a one-stop shop concept for dealers - literally everything required for workshop and front-of-house - which is fully backed up by bespoke shop fittings and a personalised merchandising service.

Indeed, uniquely in the cycle industry, Oxford’s team can design, build. stock and merchandise an entire cycle store from a blank canvas (minus the bikes themselves!).

IBDs in Northern and Southern Ireland will have access to Oxford’s full suite of products and services via Country Manager Kyle McCarthy and newly promoted Area Sales Manager Jenny (Dee) Connor.
