This role requires a proactive individual with a broad range of practical skills and strong communication skills with the facilities team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work

• Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, toilets, pipework)

• Basic electrical tasks (changing sockets, switches, light fittings – non-certified work only)

• Carpentry tasks (doors, locks, shelving, flat-pack furniture)

• Painting and decorating

• Plaster patching and minor tiling

• Garden and exterior maintenance (if required)

• Diagnose faults and recommend solutions

• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area

Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance worker

• Good knowledge of general building maintenance

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Good customer service and communication skills

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
