Buyer’s Admin Assistant- Placement Year (12 months)
About the candidate:
The successful candidate will be highly numerate with good planning experience whilst demonstrating an analytical approach to product development; this will be applied to both new and existing products within a culture of continual improvement.
Other key skills include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet critical path deadlines. Candidates should be competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
This opportunity is suitable for students currently enrolled on a university degree programme that includes a Year in Industry or Placement Year. Applicants must be available to undertake a full-time, 12-month placement as part of their course requirements.

About the role:
To provide administrative and organisational support to the buying team. The role supports day-to-day buying activities including data management, supplier communication, sample handling and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of Sample Management of current season, Development and archive samples.

Assist the Buying Team with Critical Path Management.

Raise and manage purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner

Admin support to Buyer for CE/UKCA PPE approvals.

Carrying out regular Competition Shops and updating Benchmarking documents.

Build, maintain and nurture relationships with key suppliers in order to deliver company objectives.

Support wider Buying Team to deliver ranges, for executive sign-off by preparing all paperwork and products.

Demonstrate an excellent understanding of how to manage time effectively, plan and organise workload with great attention to detail.

Work collaboratively across different teams to meet product deadlines.

Show commercial awareness and understanding of our range and competitors.
