The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve hosted the start of the new MotoGP World Championship season in Portimao. The MT Helmets riders achieved great results in first event of the season in Portugal: victory in Moto2 for Pedro Acosta and a podium in Moto3 for Diogo Moreira and the Oxford-backed MT Helmets-MSi team.
In Moto3, Moreira made a memorable comeback for his country and his team. The MT Rider came from 16th on the grid to finish in third place, the first podium for Brazil in the history of Moto3. It was also the first top-three finish for Oxford-backed MT Helmets-MSi since they arrived in the World Championship last year.
The MT Riders will have another chance to continue their winning streak at the Termas de Rio Hondo track, where the Argentine Grand Prix kicks off in just five days (31 March - 2 April).
