A Sunday to forget at the French GP…

Oxford-backed MTHelmets-MSi will mark Sunday at the French Grand Prix with an ‘x’, where luck was not of the side of either of their two riders; fortunately the rest of the weekend provided plenty of positives to take away.

Diogo Moreira started from second on the grid and it looked like it was destined to be a difficult race, but with a positive ending. The Brazilian rider stayed in the Top 6 during the first laps and with the idea of taking care of tyres as much as possible, to finish with a good attack. But the situation did not work out as expected and on lap 10, just at the halfway point, Moreira suffered a “highside” that caused him to crash, leaving him out of the fight. Diogo is now fourth in the Moto3 World Championship, twenty-nine points behind the leader. There is still a long way to go in the championship and the important thing is to be one of the strongest riders in the remainder of 2023.

Syarifuddin Azman, who was having his best Grand Prix of the season, started the race from ninth place, being part of the leading group. At the end of the second lap, Damok crashed out of the race. The most remarkable thing is the evolutionary leap of Azman and this will surely be a plus for the following Grand Prix.

Now it is time for analysis in the MTHelmets-MSi and to continue working in the same line as always and with the same enthusiasm, to reward the support received from the sponsors.

The next Grand Prix will be the Italian Grand Prix, at the spectacular Mugello circuit, which will be held in three weeks time, from 9th to 11th of June, being the start of a triple-header with Sachsenring and Assen.
