Oxford's New GRINDER D-Locks reviewed by Bennetts:

While still of course a problem (as crime sadly always has and always will be), motorcycle thefts have been reducing over the past few years, as you can see from our monthly motorcycle crime stats here. That’s down to several factors, but improvements in the security we all use has got to be one of them..
The Oxford S1 & S2 D-locks on review here are the company’s entry into the angle-grinder-resistant market, and while late to Hiplok and Litelok’s party, Oxford seems to have taken the opportunity to learn from many of the best features of the established devices such as the DX1000, X1 and X3.
Here you can see the size difference between the Oxford Grinder S2 (and S1), and the Litelok X3. It’s the width that’s critical to fitting over as many front wheels as possible
The entire shackle is coated right down to well below the locking points with a silicone carbide material that looks similar to that used on the Kryptonite New York Diamond, the latest versions of the Hiplok DX1000 and DXL1000, and the OnGuard Rock Solid (though the latter is a poor example of the tech). It also covers the front and back of the lock’s body, leaving no area obviously vulnerable to attack. Though we’ll test that…
Three keys are supplied, with replacements available, and a silicone cover helps protect the lock barrel from dirt.
The locks come with a 10-year guarantee against defects in workmanship and materials.

Oxford Grinder S1 & S2 review: Verdict
“Playing catch-up” was what one social media pundit commented when I posted on the Bennetts Facebook page that I was about to test the new S1 and S2. But Oxford hasn’t just caught up with its competitors; it’s sprinted past them, stealing their lunch money on the way.
The disappointing OnGuard Rock Solid proved that consistency is key with coated angle-grinder-resistant locks, but while I did see variations in the abrasive disc testing here compared to the manufacturer’s claims, the results were still very impressive indeed.
Make no mistake: nothing is impossible to defeat, but the Oxford Grinder S1 and S2 are extremely resistant to all forms of attack, and big enough to go over most front wheels, so come very highly recommended as the best motorcycle D-locks I’ve tested to date. I’ve no hesitation in using them to protect my motorcycles.
